Purpose:
Criterion 1: MAHSLIN Membership Applicant must be a current member of MAHSLIN (to be verified by Membership Chair), at the time of the application submission. Criterion 2: Use of Funds Technology grant funds are available on a rolling basis for:
Criterion 3: Dollar Amount Funds will be awarded to a maximum of three recipients per year for up to $1,000 per recipient. Criterion 4: Number of Awards per Applicant An applicant may not receive more than one award per calendar year. The award will not exceed the actual cost of the program or course, hardware or software. The MAHSLIN Secretary will maintain a record of grants awarded. Criterion 5: Application Deadlines Applications for programs/courses must be received six weeks before a program/course date and two months before anticipated purchase date of hardware/software. Hardware/software must be purchased within twelve months of grant award. Criterion 6: Post-Award Information Dissemination Recipients must present a poster at the annual MAHSLIN meeting within two years of receipt of award and write an article for the MAHSLIN newsletter within one year of receipt of award demonstrating how their use of grant funds benefited one or more of the following: the individual, the individual’s institution, MAHSLIN, the profession. The review committee reserves the right to evaluate and weigh all applications against such factors (which may include but are not limited to) a candidate’s level of institutional support, stated purpose for use of award, number and amount of awards previously received, and number of applicants per institution.
